All Upwards providers must be licensed to provide childcare, be background checked, and be CPR and first-aid certified. As part of our ongoing safety protocols, providers' licenses are checked and verified for quality and safety by Upwards daily. You'll also have a chance to tour providers and vet them for yourself before enrolling. This is a big decision, and we're here to help you find a provider you love!

How do you monitor safety after the initial vetting?

To ensure our providers continue to meet our safety standards, we conduct annual reviews. We review the type and frequency of citations, history of visits, and performance trends, as well as their continued compliance with CPR and First Aid Certifications. If we find a new citation or allegation that violates our safety standards, we will remove them from our platform and they will not be shared with other families. 

We encourage families to share their experiences with the Upwards Support Team and your dedicated Care Navigator. If a family raises any safety concerns, we will conduct a thorough investigation to ensure the continued safety of our Upwards community.
