How are Upwards providers vetted?

All Upwards providers must be licensed to provide childcare, be background checked, and be CPR and first-aid certified. As part of our ongoing safety protocols, providers' licenses are checked and verified for quality and safety by Upwards daily. You'll also have a chance to tour providers and vet them for yourself before enrolling. This is a big decision, and we're here to help you find a provider you love!

  • Ongoing Training: We offer continuous training and support to our daycare partners, helping them maintain high standards and provide the best possible care.

How are Upwards Nannies and Sitters vetted?

Nannies & Sitters

Our Selection Process for Nannies & Sitters

  • Sourcing Qualified Caregivers: We source our nannies and sitters through multiple channels, including job boards, marketing campaigns, and search engine optimization (SEO), ensuring we reach a diverse range of skilled caregivers in your area.
  • Background Checks: All nannies and sitters undergo comprehensive background checks, including criminal history, identity verification, and checks for relevant certifications such as CPR and First Aid, ensuring a safe environment for your child.
  • Thorough Vetting: Each provider goes through a rigorous vetting process to ensure they meet our high standards for safety, experience, and professionalism.
  • Detailed Profiles: Our platform offers access to caregiver profiles, including credentials, experience, and reviews from other families, helping you make an informed decision.

 Why Choose Upwards for Daycare?

Upwards is committed to providing a safe, reliable, and convenient way for families to connect with experienced and qualified nannies and sitters. We offer ongoing support and resources, including a community of caregivers sharing tips and best practices.

Let Upwards help you find the ideal caregiver for your child today. We know that quality childcare is your top priority, and it's ours too.

How do you monitor safety after the initial vetting?

To ensure our providers continue to meet our safety standards, we conduct annual reviews. We review the type and frequency of citations, history of visits, and performance trends, as well as their continued compliance with CPR and First Aid Certifications. If we find a new citation or allegation that violates our safety standards, we will remove them from our platform and they will not be shared with other families.

We encourage families to share their experiences with the Upwards Support Team and your dedicated Care Navigator. If a family raises any safety concerns, we will conduct a thorough investigation to ensure the continued safety of our Upwards community.

We hope this information gives you confidence in choosing Upwards for your childcare needs. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please reach out to our support team by submitting a ticket or emailing us at [email protected]
