How does tuition work on holidays, vacations, or absences?

At Upwards, we understand that scheduling and attendance can be complicated issues for families. That's why we've developed clear policies around tuition and attendance to ensure that parents and providers are on the same page.

Daycare providers will be closed for certain holidays and vacation days during the school year. You will receive at least 30 days' notice before these closures, and you will need to make arrangements for substitute care for your child during these times. Don't forget to ask your provider for a list of scheduled closed holidays and vacation days.

Tuition is due and payable for these days, even if your child is not attending daycare. This helps ensure your child's spot is reserved and available when needed.

Similarly, tuition is still due when your child is absent from care. This helps ensure that the provider can keep your spot and maintain the proper ratio of children to caregivers.

We know every family's situation is unique, and we're committed to finding solutions that fit your needs. If you have any questions about tuition or attendance, contact your Childcare Navigator or the Upwards Support Team.

We hope this information gives you confidence in choosing Upwards for your childcare needs. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please reach out to our support team by submitting a ticket or emailing us at support@upwards.com.
